Position Summary:
The Director of Compliance is responsible for leading compliance, regulatory reporting, environmental attribute management, and certification functions across the Renewables Division. This senior leadership role ensures the integrity, accuracy, and audit readiness of all renewable fuel production, environmental credit generation, and trading activities while minimizing regulatory and commercial risk.
The Director of Compliance will oversee compliance programs related to Renewable Fuel Standard, Canadian Clean Fuel Regulations (CFR), Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS), 45Z Clean Fuel Production Credits, voluntary carbon markets, and sustainability certifications including ISCC and other future applicable frameworks. The role serves as the primary compliance authority for the organization and partners closely with Commercial, Operations, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Government Affairs, and external regulators.
The successful candidate will build and lead a high-performing compliance organization that supports continued growth in RNG, BioLNG, environmental commodities, and emerging decarbonization markets.
